Free Social Media Tools for Business Owners

When I was going through my Social Media Marketing Course on Alison, I’ve learned about a few free tools business owners can use to promote their business. I had already heard of some of these. but didn’t know much about how to use them. Going through the course gave me more knowledge about how to use them, and I hope to use them as I work on finding ways to promote my business.
Irfanview
If you need to resize a photo that you want to use for a website or anything related to your business, Irfanview is a free tool you can use to resize photos or graphics. You can also use it to create new images, flip images, crop images, and add borders or frames.
Filezilla
If you need to upload a file via FTP, Filezilla is the best client to use. You’ll have to know the username, password, and port you need to connect to on your host’s FTP server, but once you enter those you’ll be able to connect to a remote FTP server to upload or download files.
Audacity
If you’ve decided to record a podcast, Audacity is the best free recording software I’ve found. You can use it to record your audio and make any number of changes to it, such as deleting words you don’t want others to hear, adding background music, and fading sounds in and out.
Podomatic
Once you’ve finished recording a podcast episode, you can upload it to the Podomatic website to publish it on your website. Uploading it to Podomatic gives you embed code that you can copy and paste into your website.
These are a few free social media tools I found out about through my social media marketing course.
