I agree with this 100%. I took a few home ec classes in high school, and because of them I was able to not only learn life skills that have benefited me to this day, but I was also able to discover that I have leadership skills when I joined my school’s Future Homemakers of America chapter. The first few years I was just a member, but my senior year I was elected vice president of our chapter. It’s because of my involvement in home economics classes and FHA that I was able to start learning leadership skills, and take on leadership roles in organizations I got involved in when I was in college, as well as at a few companies I’ve worked at, as well as learn valuable life skills.

I started writing in elementary school and never stopped. I enjoy sharing stories about my hard-learned life lessons and writing advice.
